Dru Yoga I began my study and practice of Dru Yoga in 2001,  when I discovered what a powerful tool for emotional and physical transformation it is in my own life.  I completed the 4 year teacher training in 2005,  progressed on to the 3 year Dru Meditation Teacher training,  as well as the 18 month Post Grad Mastery Course,  which I finished at the beginning of 2012  –  all of which has deepened my personal practice and teaching immensely.

Dru Yoga and Meditation techniques can be used in the context of the Dru Yoga  / Meditation classes I teach  –  which include a beautiful Savasana (relaxation) segment at the end of the class using the Crystal Bowls  (what can be more relaxing and transformational??)   –   but they are also immensely useful tools in my psychology / counselling practice.  I find the they are a beautiful way to bring about a profound change in the client’s emotional state,  deal with traumatic issues  effortlessly without bringing up the past,  assist the client to be empowered in reaching their own goals,  as well as work on energy levels,  the ability to release stress and relax,  and create the skills to achieve a restful night’s sleep.

Dru yoga is a graceful and potent form of yoga based on soft flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, Dru works on body, mind and spirit  –  improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity, and deeply relaxing and rejuvenating your whole being.

Designed to be practiced by people of all abilities,  all fitness levels and all age groups,  Dru is a style of yoga that can be quickly dipped into or learned in more depth over a lifetime.  It is a completely safe practice,  aiming to convert stress,  anger,  fear,  grief,  etc  –   into heart-felt positive emotions.

In 2005, 450 graduates and participants in Dru Yoga Courses all over the world were asked about the effects of their practice:

72 % found Dru Yoga reduced back pain
93 % experienced improved spine flexibility
86% enjoyed increased energy levels
89% experienced improved breathing with yoga
89% can now reduce and control stress levels
81% have greater confidence and self-empowerment
84% benefited from enhanced mood since practicing Dru Yoga
83% felt emotionally balanced
91% gained peace of mind by overcoming negative thinking

Whatever your yoga ambitions, you’ll find Dru Yoga a fresh, energetic, positive and complete approach to health and well-being.
